Courses at Regional Inst. of Mental Health, Assam

Dec 30, 2009: The Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Regional Institute of Mental Health (LGBRIMH), Post Box No. 15, Tezpur, Assam -784001, under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, has invited applications for admission to the two-year, full-time, clinical courses - M. Phil in Psychiatric Social Work and M. Sc. Nursing (Psychiatric Nursing), for the session 2010-12, to be conducted at the institute under the Gauhati University.

Master degree holders in Social Work (MSW) from a UGC approved university/institution having undergone a regular course, securing not less than 55% marks in the aggregate are eligible for admission to M. Phil in Psychiatric Social Work.

Those having B.Sc Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc Nursing Degree from any university recognized by the Nursing Council of India with one year working experience as registered nurses are eligible for admission to M.Sc. Nursing (Psychiatric Nursing).

The application format may be obtained in person from the institute or downloaded from www.lgbrimh.org

Filled in applications will be accepted till 4 pm on 20.02.2010.

Selected candidates will have to abide by the terms and conditions of the institute and affiliating university during the period of their training in the institute.

Entrance test will be held from 9 am onwards on 7.03.2010 at LGBRIMH, Tezpur. No separate call letter will be issued to the candidates for the entrance examination. Candidates should bring all the original certificates/documents for verification prior to the entrance test. Reservation criteria as per Central Government norms will be applicable.
