Admissions at Avinasalingam Uty

March 03, 2010 : Applications have been invited for admission to the B.E Course (4 years; 8 semesters)  in (i) Bio-medical Instrumentation Engineering (ii) Computer Science and Engineering (iii) Civil Engineering (iv) Electrical and Electronics Engineering (v) Electronics and Communication Engineering (vi) Food Processing and Preservation Technology (vii) Information Technology and (viii) Printing Technology at Avinashilingam University for Women, Coimbatore-641043

Applicants should appear for a separate Entrance Test to be conducted by Avinashilingam University on 18.4.2010 or at State Level Entrance Examination (CEE) or All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE).

Applicant should have passed in Higher Secondary Examination (Academic/Vocational Stream) and obtained a minimum aggregate percentage of marks as indicated below:
H.S.C Academic Stream (Mathematics +Physics +Chemistry) - 55% in case of OC, 50% in case of BC/MBC/ and others and a Pass in case of SC/ST.Only candidate whose date of birth falls on or after July, 01, 1988 are eligible. For SC/ST and Physically handicapped applicants, the upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years. SC/ST candidates will have Fee Concession. They have to pay only 50% tuition fee. Filled application along with the Proof  for  date of birth, 3 copies of recently taken passport size photograph, Xerox copies of Community certificate, Transfer certificate and conduct certificate from the institution last studied, Mark sheet of 10th and DD for Rs.650/- (General Category) (Rs.350/-SC/ST) drawn in favour of ‘The Registrar, Avinashilingam University for Women’, payable at Coimbatore, should reach  ‘The Registrar, Avinashilingam University for women, Coimbatore -  641 043’, latest by 10th April, 2010. 

All original certificates (inclusive of 12th standard mark sheet) should be submitted during the time of admission.
