PG in Sidha at National Institute

March 10, 2010 : National Institute of Sidha, Tambaram Sanitorium, Chennai-600047, under AYUSH, Minsitry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, has invited applications for the Entrance Examination for admission to the 3-Year Post Graduate M.D Sidha Course for 2010-11 in Branch I-Maruthuvam, Branch II- Gunapadam, Branch III-Sirapu Maruthuvam, Branch IV-Kuzhandai Maruthuvam, Branch V-Noi Naadal and Branch VI-Nanju Noolum Maruthuva Neethi Noolum,

Applicant should have passed BIM/BSMS Degree Examination of any Indian University with successful completion of Compulsory Rotatory Resident Internship (CRRI) before the date of Entrance Examination (16.5.2010 OR should have passed the examination considered equivalent to the afore-mentioned Sidha Degrees by the Tamil Nadu MGR Medical University, Chennai and the Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi with successful completion of Compulsory Rotatory Resident Internship (CRRI) in the Hospital of Indian Systems of Medicine, recognized by the Central Council of Indian Medicine.

Applicants should have registered their names either in any state Council of Indian Medicine or Central Council of Indian Medicine.

Selection to the course will be on merit based on the marks in the Entrance Examination to be held from 10 am to 1 pm on 16.5.2010, at National Institute of Sidha, Tambaram Sanitorium, Chennai-600047, at the venue to be mentioned in the Hall Ticket. 

Stipend will be paid as per Government of India Norms. Details are available in the Prospectus. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC categories will be as per Rules and specified in the Prospectus. One seat in Nanju Noolum Maruthuva Neethi Noolum branch is reserved for persons with locomotory disability of lower limbs between 50% and 60%. One seat in Kuzhandai Maruthuvam Branch is reserved for a foreign (BIMSTEC countries) student sponsored by Government of India.

Application form along with the Prospectus can be had from ‘The Director, National Institute of Sidha, Tambaram Sanitorium , Chennai-600047’, by submitting a requisition letter along with a Crossed Demand Draft for Rs.1000/- (Rs.750/- for SC/ST on production of Xerox copy of Community Certificate issued by the competent authority), from any Nationalized Bank drawn on or after 7.3.10, in favour of ‘Director, National Institute of Sidha’ payable at Chennai.

Application form along with the Prospectus can be obtained by Post from ‘The Director, National Institute of Sidha, Tambaram Sanitorium , Chennai-600047’, by sending a request letter, a self-addressed envelope of size at least 32 cm x 25 cm with Postal Stamps worth Rs.60/- affixed, and a DD for Rs.1000/-(Rs.750/- for SC/ST) taken as described above.

Applications will be issued till 3 pm on 7.4.2010. Filled up Applications with enclosures should reach from ‘The Director, National Institute of Sidha, Tambaram Sanitorium , Chennai-600047’, latest by 5 pm on 7.4.2010. Eligible candidates who receive call letters are required to attend counseling at National Institute of Sidha, Chennai-47 on 27.5.2010.
