Murthy, Amjad conferred honorary doctorate
    
Aligarh, Nov 2, 2010: Sarod maestro Amjad Ali Khan and Infosys mentor N R Narayana Murthy were today conferred honorary doctorate by Mangalayatan University.
    
While Murthy was honoured with doctorate in science, Khan was conferred doctorate in literature.
    
Khan attributed his success as a musician to his father and said that his father was "an institution by himself."
    
"I see this as a great honour. I contribute this to my father at whose feet I received my lesson, not just on music but about life," said the musician.
    
"I'm extremely grateful to the university for this kindness. I receive this on behalf of the 1.15 lakh employees of Infosys," said Murthy.
