Post Dip. in Thermal Power Plant Engg. at CBIP

Kochi, March 29, 2012: Central Board of Irrigation & Power (CBIP), New Delhi has invited applications for admission to Post Diploma Course in Thermal Power Plant Engineering commencing on 14th May 2012.

WHO CAN APPLY :
Candidates who have obtained Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical from a recognized institution / university / technical Board of the State / Central Govt. with minimum of 60% marks throughout 10th/12th and Diploma are eligible to apply for admission to this Post Diploma Course. Those appearing in their final year examination of Diploma Course may also apply. However, they must submit their result at the time of counseling. Diploma Holders sponsored by State Electricity Boards / Power Utilities and Private Companies with at least one year post qualification experience as on 26.03.2012 and minimum 60% marks in 10th/12th and Diploma Course are also eligible to apply.

AGE LIMIT :
For the non-sponsored candidates maximum age limit as on 26.03.2012 is 27 years. However, there is no age limit for the sponsored candidates.

COURSE FEES / PAYMENT OF FEE :
For non-sponsored candidates: Rs.1,20,000/- (to be paid in 3 installments; 1st installment – Rs.50,000/- at the time of counseling, 2nd Installment – Rs.40,000/- latest by 30th June 2012, 3rd Installment – 30,000/- latest by 30th September, 2012) For sponsored candidates: Rs. 1,50,000/- (to be paid in full at the time of counseling). Course fee includes the Simulator Training fee. Travelling / lodging cost in case of outstation visits is to be borne by the students. The course fee may be paid in the form of demand draft drawn in favour of "CBIP, New Delhi".

Application as per the format available at: http://www.cbip.org/D.pdf, on plain paper along-with the demand draft of Rs.500/- in favour of CBIP payable at New Delhi, should reach the Secretary, CBIP, (address given below) latest by 20.04.2012 with two passport size photographs.
