Ph.D July 2012 at IIT Rajasthan

Kochi, April 03, 2012: Applications for admission to the Interdisciplinary Ph.D. Programme in the following three Centres of Excellence (under Regular and Full Time Category, Part-time/Sponsored category ) are invited by Indian Institute of Technology Rajasthan, Jodhpur from the eligible candidates who have completed the prescribed qualifying degree (Refer Section: Minimum Educational Qualifications). The candidates who are in the final semester of qualifying degree also can apply for provisional admission. However, they must submit the proof of successful completion of the qualifying degree with minimum requirement of percentage of marks on or before August 10, 2012.

1) Centre of Excellence in Energy
2) Centre of Excellence in Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
3) Centre of Excellence in Systems Science (SS)

Minimum Educational Qualifications
(Applicants must have mathematics background at +2 level. )
(i) M.Tech. / M.E. or equivalent -
General or OBC: First Class or equivalent /At least 60% or equivalent /At least 6.5 CPI or equivalent. SC or ST: At least 55% or equivalent/ At least 6 CPI or equivalent. Other Compulsory Requirements: Qualified in GATE is necessary. However, validity of GATE score is not necessary.

(ii) B.Tech. / B.E. or equivalent -
General or OBC: First Class or equivalent/At least 60% or equivalent/At least 6.5 CPI or equivalent. SC or ST: At least 55% or equivalent/ At least 6 CPI or equivalent
Other Compulsory Requirements: Qualified in GATE that is valid at the time of admission to Ph.D (OR) CPI >= 8 When B.Tech Degree is from any of the IITs

(iii) M.Sc. or equivalent -
General or OBC: First Class or equivalent / At least 60% or equivalent / At least 6.5 CPI or equivalent. SC or ST: At least 55% or equivalent/ At least 6 CPI or equivalent . Other Compulsory Requirements: Qualified in GATE / CSIR-NET JRF / UGC-NET JRF / NBHM / DBT that is valid at the time of admission to Ph.D.

(iv) M.A. or equivalent -

General or OBC: At least 60% or equivalent/ At least 6.5 CPI or equivalent SC or ST: At least 55% or equivalent/ At least 6 CPI or equivalent. Other Compulsory Requirements: Qualified in GATE/ UGC-NET JRF that is valid at the time of admission to Ph.D.
