PhD 2012 at ICGEB, New Delhi

Kochi, April 16, 2012: Applications have been invited from candidates for admission to PhD Program (2012-2013) of International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), New Delhi in two streams : Plant Biology and Human Health.

Minimum qualification :
(A)  MSc in any branch of Science (eg. Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics etc) or MTech or MBBS or MVSc or MPharm or equivalent qualification recognized by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, is required. Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination this year may also apply; they will be admitted provisionally pending satisfactory fulfilment of the above requirements at the time of joining.

(B)  The applicant should have cleared any one of following : CSIR-UGC, ICMR, DBT, DST-INSPIRE or any other equivalent JRF examination and fellowships must be valid for at least four years. 

Application procedure :
(A) Applications MUST be filled online (visit website www.icgeb.res.in/phd2012).

(B) Print the online receipt and the admit card, generated after the successful online submission. Paste duly signed recent passport size photographs (4.5 cms x 3 cms) on the online receipt and admit card.

(C) Send the signed hard copy of the online receipt and admit card and along with :
(i)   a crossed Demand Draft of Rs 300/- (non-refundable), in favour of "ICGEB, New Delhi", payable at New Delhi.
(ii)  Two self-addressed envelopes (10 cms x 22 cms) affixed with Rs 5/- postage stamp and
(iii) documentary evidence for SC / ST / OBC (non-creamy layer), if applicable

to The Chief of Administration, ICGEB, P.O. Box 10504, Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, New Delhi – 110067 before 30th April, 2012. The Envelope should be clearly marked with "Application for PhD Programme – 2012-2013".
