MCA 2012 Admission at Goa Uty

Kochi, April 17, 2012: Department of Computer Science & Technology, Goa University has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission to MCA course of Academic Year 2012-13.

Eligibility for Admission :
* A score of 50 percentile or more in MAH-MCA-CET 2012 Test (combined score in GA and CC).

* Graduate in any discipline with at least 55% aggregate marks at the first degree examination (50% for candidates in reserved category - OBC, ST, SC, PH, FF). OR

* Minimum CPI must be 6.00 in the scale of 1 to 10 at the first degree examination (minimum CPI must be 5.5 in the scale of 1 to 10 for candidates in reserved category – OBC, ST, SC, PH, FF).

* Candidates who have appeared for the degree examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply. In case such candidates are selected and their results are not available at the time of admission, these candidates will be given provisional admission.

* Candidates must have taken Mathematics as one of the subjects at HSSCE (10+2) level or at a higher level (documentary proof is essential).

Fees :
The total fee prescribed for the academic year 2012-13 is Rs. 32,500/- for Goa University graduates and Rs. 34,100/- for graduates other than Goa University.

Last date for the receipt of duly filled-in Application Form at Department of Computer Science & Technology, Goa University is 4th June, 2012 (4.00 PM)

Following documents must accompany the application form :
1. XIIth Std. mark sheet
2. Graduation Year I, Year II mark sheets
3. Graduation Final Year mark sheet, if result is declared
4. Proof of having secured a score of at least 50 percentile in MAH-MCA-CET 2012 Test. The score entered in the application form must be identical to the score in the candidate’s score card.
5. SC / ST / OBC / PH / FF certificate wherever applicable (Only for candidates passing out from Goa University).

* Issue of Prospectus & application form : 16 April, 2012
* Last date for receipt of completed application form : 4 June, 2012 (by 4:00 PM)
* Display of merit list and waiting list : 7 June, 2012
* Last date for registration by merit list candidates : 15 June, 2012
* Complete First round admission to waiting list candidates : 26 June, 2012
* Complete Second round admission to waiting list candidates : 4 July, 2012
* Final round admission to waiting list candidates : 9 July, 2012
