Admission 2012 at NEHU, Shillong

Kochi, April 17, 2012: Application in the prescribed form have been invited by North Eastern Hill University for admission to MBA / BA LL.B (Hons) and BTech Programme commencing from August, 2012.

* Management : Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Eligibility : A bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized University with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate (45% marks in case of SC/ST). Those appearing in the final examination and expecting their result by July 15, 2012 may also apply. (Eligible candidates need to appear any of the MAT Tests (May, September, December, 2011 and February 2012). Candidates who are willing to take admission in the MBA Programme are required to fill up the NEHU application form enclosing their respective MAT Score.

* BTech  Programme : Information Technology (IT) and Electronics Communication Engineering (ECE) and Lateral entry to 3rd Semester.

Eligibility :
(a) Candidates who have passed / appeared / appearing in the higher secondary (10+2) Examination or its equivalent in Science Stream from any recognized Board having secured a minimum of 50% marks ( in aggregate) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (relaxable by 5% for SC/ST candidates).
(b) Candidates must have valid All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) Score.

* Department of Law : BA LL.B (HONS)
Eligibility :
(a) Candidates who have passed / appeared / appearing the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent (such as 11+1. A level in Senior School Leaving Certificate Course) from a recognized University of India or outside or from a Senior Secondary Board or  equivalent examination in any stream securing an aggregate of not less than 50% of the marks, relaxable by 5% for SC/ST shall be eligible to seek admission to the  programme.
(b) The maximum age for seeking admission to the course is  limited to 20 (twenty) years in case  of general category and to 22 (twenty two ) years in case  of SC/ST and other Backward Communities as on 1st August, 2012.

HOW TO APPLY :
Prescribed application forms with prospectus can be obtained in person from the Receptionist, Administrative Building, Permanent Campus, Shillong – 793022 or from the office of the Pro-Vice Chancellor, NEHU, Tura Campus, Tura-794001 during office hours on payment of Rs.600/- (for general category) and Rs.300/- (for SC/ST category) through University Challan / Banker’s Cheque / Bank Draft in  favour of "North Eastern Hill University".

Request for admission form by post should be addressed to the Section Officer (Academic), NEHU, Shillong, Permanent Campus, Shillong – 793022, accompanied by a self addressed envelope of 30x25cm  size affixing Rs.40/-  postage stamp thereon and  enclosing DD of Rs.600/- (for general category) and Rs.300/- (for SC/ST category). The admission form may be downloaded from : www.nehu.ac.in  and filled-in application form alongwith the Demand Draft of the same amount can be sent to the respective Head of Departments, NEHU, Permanent Campus, Mawkynroh-Umshing, Shillong-793022 or NEHU, Tura Campus, Chandmari, Tura – 794002.

Duly filled-in applications are to be submitted to the  respective Departments.

* BTech : 15 June, 2012.
