Kochi, April 21, 2012: Applications have been invited by BITS, Pilani for admission to Higher Degree (PG) & PhD Programmes of Academic Session 2012-13.
HIGHER DEGREE PROGRAMMES : (1) ME : * Biotechnology * Chemical * Chemical with specicalization in Petroleum Engg. * Civil * Communication Engg. * Microelectronics * Embedded systems * Mechanical * Mechanical with specialization in Thermal Engg. * Design Engineering * Manufacturing Systems Engg. * Computer Science * Software Systems
(2) MPharm : * MPharm * MPharm with specialization in Pharmaceutics * MPharm with specialization in Pharmaceutical * Chemistry
(3) MBA :
Eligibility : A minimum of 60% aggregate in qualifying examination.
Admissions : (i) Admissions to ME / MPharm are based on performance in computer-based online test conducted by BITS. The online tests will be held during 3rd-4th June 2012 at centers in India. (ii) For MBA Programme, in addition to online test as in (i) above candidates shortlisted will also have to appear for a test in Reading Comprehension, Group Discussion and Interview to be held at Pilani on 27th July 2012.
PhD PROGRAMMES : * Input qualification : ME / MPharm / MBA / MPhil of BITS or its equivalent with a minimum of 60% aggregate. Candidates with an MSc / BE / BPharm or an equivalent with a minimum of 60% aggregate will also be considered for PhD admission. For PhD Programme in Languages and Humanities, candidates with an MA and with minimum of 55% aggregate may also be considered.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE : Eligible candidates may apply through the prescribed application form available online at www.bitsadmission.com and take a printout of the form duly filled. Completed application form along with the proof of fee payment of Rs.1600 should be sent to Admission officer, BITS, Pilani-333031. Details of fee payment modes are available at the website while applying online.
Deadline for applying online with prescribed fee is 23rd May 2012 (5:00 PM).
