Kochi, May 9, 2012: State Government has reached an agreement with Private Self-Financing Medical Colleges' Management Association on the fee of govt. and management quota seats for the academic year 2012-13.

As per the decision, a nominal hike of Rs.12,000 has been made in the 30% Govt. quota seats, raising the annual fee from Rs. 1.38 lakhs to Rs. 1.5 lakhs. Management quota fee has been increased to Rs. 6.5 lakhs per annum. It was Rs.6 lakhs in the previous academic year. Meanwhile, the NRI fee has touched Rs. 9.5 lakhs mark from the current Rs. 9 lakhs. However, the 20% BPL quota seats will continue to be charged Rs.25,000, same as the Govt. Medical College fee.
