Self Financing Dental fee fixed at 1.2 lakhs

Kochi, May 10, 2012: An agreement on the fee structure of self-financing dental colleges for the year 2012-13 has been reached between the Government and All Kerala Self Financing Dental College Management Association. The meeting was convened today by Health Minister VS Sivakumar. Admission procedures will be same as last year.

50 pc seats will be reserved for merit quota and 50 pc for management. No change has been made in the fee structure of BPL and SEBC categories- it will remain fixed at 23,000 and 44,000 respectively. The fee for govt merit seats has been decided as 1.2 lakhs. A nominal hike of 10,000 has been included this time. Management fee and NRI fee has been hiked to 3.75 lakhs and 4.25 lakhs respectively from the current 3.5 lakhs and 4 lakhs.

Principal Health Secretary Rajeev Sadanandan, Medical Education Director V Geetha, Joint Director Dr. Jyotheendrakumar were present at the meeting.
