M.PTh / MSc Nursing at Pravara Institute

Kochi, May 11, 2012: Applications have been invited by Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, Loni for All India Common Entrance Test - ASPG 2012 for admission to M.PTh (Physiotherapy) and MSc Nursing Courses and ASUG 2012 for admission to B.PTh and BSc Nursing Courses of the year 2012-13.

Eligibility Criteria :

* MSc Nursing :
Candidate must be Indian National. The nationality certificate issued by the District Magistrate / Additional District Magistrate / Chief Metropolitan Magistrate or a valid passport will be considered as a proof of Nationality. Candidate must have passed qualifying examination i.e. BSc Nursing / PBBSc Nursing / BSc Hons. Nursing from INC recognized institution with minimum of 55 % marks. (Candidates belonging to SC / ST category must have obtained 50 % marks). Candidate should be registered as R.N. & R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council.  Candidates should have minimum ONE year of work experience after BSc Nursing / prior or after P.B.BSc Nursing. Candidates should be medically fit.

* MPTh :
Candidate must be Indian National. The nationality certificate issued by the District Magistrate / Additional District Magistrate / Chief Metropolitan Magistrate or a valid passport will be considered as a proof of Nationality. Candidates seeking admission to postgraduate Physiotherapy course should hold B.PTh degree of recognized University approved by IAP. 

Candidates who have completed 6 months compulsory rotating internship or likely to complete the same on or before 31st July 2012 can appear for PIMS-AICET-ASPG 2012. All such candidates will have to submit the documentary proof, from the Principal / Dean of the college regarding the likely date of completion of internship along with manual application form, failing which the application shall be rejected. Candidates should have obtained permanent registration with IAP or any state council. If candidates do not have such registration , he should obtain the same within one month from the date of his/her admission. Candidates should be medically fit.

* B.PTh (Bachelor of Physiotherapy) :
Candidate must be Indian National. The nationality certificate issued by the District Magistrate / Additional District Magistrate / Chief Metropolitan Magistrate or a valid passport will be considered as a proof of Nationality.
Candidates must have passed qualifying examination i.e. HSC (or equivalent) examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. Candidates must be born on or before 31st December 1995 to be eligible to appear for PIMS-AICET-ASUG 2012. Candidates who are appearing for qualifying examination i.e.HSC (or equivalent ) in February/March 2012 are eligible to appear for PIMS-AICET-ASUG 2012, however they must fulfill the eligibility condition at the time of counseling.

* BSc Nursing :
Candidate must be Indian National. The nationality certificate issued by the District Magistrate / Additional District Magistrate / Chief Metropolitan Magistrate or a valid passport will be considered as a proof of Nationality. Candidates must have passed qualifying examination i.e. HSC (or equivalent) examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. Candidates belonging to general category must have obtained a minimum 45% marks in PCBE (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English) at the HSC ( or equivalent) examination. Candidates belonging to SC / ST category must have obtained a minimum 40% marks in PCBE (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English) at the HSC ( or equivalent) examination. Candidates belonging to the SC / ST category must attach a copy of the caste and caste validity certificate along with the application form.

It is to be noted that there is no reservation for students belonging to Backward class. This certificate is required in support of relaxation of eligibility criteria if such candidates get admission on the basis of interse merit of PIMS-AICET-ASUG 2012 but has scored less than 45% marks in qualifying examinations i.e. HSC (or equivalent). Candidate s must be born on or before 31st December, 1995 to be eligible to appear for PIMS-AICET-ASUG 2012. Candidates who are appearing for qualifying examination i.e.HSC (or equivalent ) in February/ March 2012 are eligible to appear for PIMS-AICET-ASUG 2012, however they
must fulfill the eligibility condition at the time of counseling.

Application forms can be obtained from The Competent Authority, PIMS - AICET - ASPG 2012/ASUG 2012, Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, At / post : Loni (BK) - 413736 , Tal. Rahata, Dist. Ahmednagar, (Maharashtra State).

Entrance Examination Fee :
Rs. 750/- (in case of downloaded application form from : www.pravara.com ; entrance test fee is Rs.900/-). The fee can be paid as demand draft drawn in favour of "Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, Loni".

Completed applications must reach "The Competent Authority, Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, At / post : Loni (BK) - 413736 , Tal. Rahata, Dist. Ahmednagar, Maharashtra" on or before last date mentioned.

* Last Date for Application submission : 25 June, 2012
* Date and Time of Entrance Test : 30 June, 2012 (Saturday) from 3.00pm to 6.00pm
* Announcement of results : 9 July, 2012
* Date of Counseling : 24-25,July 2012
* Commencement of Classes : 1 August, 2012
