Kochi, May 21, 2012: As another admission season is at the offing, Mathrubhumi Education Online is all set to stage the much awaited pre-counseling seminar on Medical / Engineering allotment procedure and career prospects. A guidance on the nuances of IIT, AIEEE, AIPMT, KEAM and CUSAT admission processes will be detailed by subject experts in the event. A session on education loans is also included this time.
It is the third consecutive year that Mathrubhumi Online is conducting the seminar. The seminars will be held at Alakapuri Convention Centre Thiruvananthapuram, TDM Hall Kochi and Tagore Centenary Hall Calicut on May 26, May 29 and June 6 respectively. Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, BS Mavoji will inaugurate the session at Thiruvananthapuram.
Prof. TK Suresh Babu of NIT Calicut will present a lecture on "AIEEE and Allotment Procedures". The allotment procedure and availability of seats for Kerala candidates at various NITs will be discussed in this session.
A major attraction this year is the lecture on Admission in IITs after JEE. The class will be handled by eminent Professor of IIT Madras, Dr. Krishnan Swaminathan. He will talk on IITs and their admission procedure, seats, branches etc.
A talk on the admission procedure of Cochin University will be delivered by Dr. Sajan, Former Director of the admission wing of CUSAT (IRAA) at Thiruvananthapuram and Cochin, while IRAA Director Dr. Sunil Narayanankutty will discuss the topic at Calicut. Dr. S Rajoo Krishnan, Former Entrance Joint Commissioner will handle the topic "All India Medical Entrance and Seat Allotment". A lecture on "Kerala Entrance Allotment Procedures" detailing the online registration process will also be dealt by Dr. Rajoo Krishnan.
A special class on Engineering Branch Options and Placement Trends is another highlight of the seminar. Prof. TK Suresh Babu of NIT Kozhikode who has been holding the charge of the Placement Cell at NIT-K for the last six years will handle this class at Trivandrum and Kozhikode, while Prof. Unnikartha of FISAT, Angamaly will deal the topic at Ernakulam.
Another attraction of this year's event is a class on "Education Loan: Rules and Procedure". Mohanan, Chief Manager, Punjab National Bank,Trivandrum will handle this topic at Trivandrum while KV Rajesh, Deputy General Manager and Circle Head of Punjab National Bank will discuss the topic at Kochi. C Krishnanmoorthi, Asst. General Manager, State Bank of Travancore is the person handling this issue at Kozhikode.
Subject experts will answer the queries of students and guardians in the Panel Discussion. A booklet on the allotment procedure of various entrance examinations will be given to participants.
