PhD at Telangana Uty, AP

Kochi, June 8, 2012: Applications have been invited by Telangana University, Dichpally, Nizamabad for registration to PhD programme in the Faculties of Arts (English, Hindi, Telugu Studies, Urdu & Mass Communication), Science (Botany, Chemistry & Statistics), Social Sciences (Economics), Law and Commerce & Business Management of the academic year 2012-13.

Eligibility Criteria :
In all the faculties a candidate is eligible for registration/admission to PhD course in a subject, if he/she
1. has obtained a Post-Graduate Degree from a recognized University or a Post Graduate Degree through Distance mode from a recognized University and approved by the Distance Education Council DEC, New Delhi, securing not less than 55% marks in the subject concerned at the Post-Graduate Degree.

2. he/she has obtained a Post-Graduate Degree from a recognized University or a Post Graduate Degree through Distance mode from a recognized University and approved by the Distance Education Council DEC, New Delhi, securing not less than 50% marks in the subject concerned at the Post-Graduate Degree in the case of SC/ST candidates.

(If the results of Post Graduate Degree are declared in the form of grades / credits / cumulative points in their marks cards / transcripts, such grades / points shall be converted into percentage marks to assess the minimum eligibility criteria.)

Candidates with National Level Test viz., UGC / CSIR / ICAR / ICMR or Equivalent JRF / NET / SLET / Regular mode MPhil, and those qualified in the PhD Eligibility Test conducted by Telangana University are eligible to apply.

The filled-in Application Form along with all required enclosures and synopsis should be submitted to The Registrar, Telangana University, Dichpally, Nizamabad–503 322 on or before 25–06–2012 by 4 pm.
