Kochi, June 11, 2012: Applications have been invited by Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur, HP for admission to first and second year Engineering and B.Pharm degree courses in Govt. & Private un-aided Engineering Colleges in Himachal Pradesh.

Eligibility Criteria :
For Fresh Entry (1st Semester) : The fresh entry to all seats in affiliated Institutes of HP Technical University, Hamirpur (HP) shall be on the basis of rank/marks obtained in AIEEE-2012 conducted by CBSE, New Delhi. The OMR form shall be filled up by students seeking fresh entry.

For Fresh Entry (1st Semester) : The fresh entry to all seats in affiliating Institutes of HP Technical University, Hamirpur (HP) shall be on the basis of rank/marks obtained in AIEEE-2012 conducted by CBSE, New Delhi. The OMR form shall be filled up by students seeking fresh entry.

For Lateral Entry (3rd Semester) : Admission under this scheme will be made strictly on the basis of merit of marks obtained in diploma.

Educational Qualification for Lateral Entry Seats (3rd Semester) :
(a) A student should have acquired a 3 year diploma from Himachal Pradesh State Board of Technical Education with at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology.

(b) Provided further that, if seats remain vacant, shall be filled up from the eligible candidates who have passed 3 year Diploma in appropriate branch of Engineering and Technology from any other recognized University/Board after exhausting all possibilities of filling vacant seats with bonafide/domicile Himachali candidates.

Applications :
Separate Prospectus-cum-Information Brochure of B. Tech and B.Pharmacy will be available on cash payment of Rs. 500/- for BTech and Rs. 1000/- for B.Pharmacy from the following institutions :
1. HP Technical University, Camp Office Government Polytechnic, Baru, Hamirpur  (HP).
2. Govt. Polytechnic, Sundernagar, Kangra, Ambota (Distt. Una), Milennium  Chamba, Banikhet and Pragtinagar Distt. Shimla.
3. Govt. College of Pharmacy, Rohru, Distt. Shimla (HP)
4. Govt. I.T.I. Shimla, Rampur, Reckong Peo, Solan, Nalagarh, Nahan, Paonta Sahib, Bilaspur, Mandi, Shamshi, Shahpur, Una and Palampur.

The Prospectus can also be obtained by post by marking a written request to the Registrar, HP Technical University, Hamirpur accompanied by bank draft amounting to Rs. 600/- for BTech & 1100/- for B.Pharmacy for all categories drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, HP Technical University, Hamirpur payable at Hamirpur (HP).

Candiates have to submit the application form complete in all respects at the office of the Registrar, HP Technical University, Hamirpur (HP) latest by 15-06-2012 upto 5 pm for B.Pharmacy and by 30-06-2012 upto 5 pm for Engineering.
