MA / MSc in Statistics at Delhi Uty

Kochi, June 12, 2012: Faculty of Mathematical Sciences, Delhi University has invited applications for admission to MA / MSc in Statistics (Semester I) course of the Year 2012-13. Admission will be based on a system of centralized registration at North Delhi Campus.

ELIGIBILITY :
Applicants who have graduated under 10+2+3 scheme or any Equivalent Scheme are eligible for admission.

Merit list will be in order of preference from the following categories of the candidates:
1.
BSc (Hons.) examination in Statistics (Integrated Course) of the University of Delhi. 55% in aggregate.

2. MA / MSc examination in Mathematics, Operational Research, Applied Operational Research, Computer Science & MCA University of Delhi. 60% in aggregate.

3. BA (Hons.) / BSc(Hons.) examination in Mathematics of the University of Delhi. 65% in Mathematics & 70% in Statistics related paper (Unit 9/10). OR BSc (Hons.) examination in Computer Science of the University of Delhi. 65% in the aggregate & 70% in each of the papers : 204 (Probability) and 304 (Statistics)

4. BA (Hons.) / BSc (Hons.) examination in Statistics from other Universities recognized by Delhi University with at least 8 papers of Statistics. 70% in the aggregate.

5. BSc (General) Mathematical Sciences of the University of Delhi with Statistics as elective subject. 70% in the aggregate & 70% in each, Statistics and Mathematics.

6. BSc Applied Physical Sciences with Statistics / BA Programme with Statistics / BSc (Gen.) (Old Course) / BA (Pass)(Old Course) of the University of Delhi or an Examination recognized as equivalent thereto with Statistics and Mathematics as subjects / courses. 70% in aggregate & 70% in Statistics and Mathematics papers taken separately.

7. BSc (Hons.) examination in Statistics (Integrated Course) of the University of Delhi. 50% in aggregate.

8. MA / MSc examination in Mathematics, Operational Research, Computer Science and MCA from other Universities recognized by University of Delhi. 60% in aggregate.

9. BA (Hons.) / BSc (Hons.) examination in Statistics from other Universities recognized by University of Delhi with at least 8 papers of Statistics. 60% in aggregate.

10. BA (Hons.) / BSc(Hons.) examination in Mathematics of the University of Delhi. 60% in Mathematics and 65% in Statistics related paper (Unit 9/10). OR BSc (Hons.) examination in Computer Science of the University of Delhi. 60% in aggregate & 65% in each of the papers: 204 (Probability) and 304 (Statistics).

11. BSc (Genl.) Mathematical Sciences of the University of Delhi with Statistics as elective subject. 60% in aggregate & 60% in each, Statistics and Mathematics.

12. BSc Applied Physical Sciences with Statistics / BA Programme with Statistics / BSc (Gen.)(Old Course) / BA (Pass) (Old Course) of the University of Delhi or an Examination recognized as equivalent thereto with Statistics and Mathematics as subjects / courses. 65% in aggregate. 65% in Statistics and Mathematics Papers taken separately.

13. BSc (Hons.) Examination in Statistics (Integrated Course) of the University of Delhi. 40% in aggregate.

Information Bulletin can be obtained from Room No.1, New Academic Block, Faculty of Mathematical Sciences, University of Delhi, Delhi-110 007 on cash payment of Rs.50/- on all working days including Saturdays between 10 am to 1 pm till June 25, 2012.

* Last date for submission of completed applications is 25.06.2012.
