Printing Technology Courses at Calicut University

Kochi, June 29, 2012: Applications have been invited from eligible candidate for admission to the Advance Certificate Course in Printing Technology under cost-based scheme for the academic year 2012-13 offered by Centre for Printing Technology, University of Calicut.

1. Courses offered:
(i) Pre-Press Operation
(ii) Press Operation
(iii) Post Press Operation

2. Duration of the Course: 2 semesters of 6 month’s duration
3. Cost of Application form: Rs.100/- (Rs. 50/- for SC / ST)
4. Tuition fee: Rs.16,000/-
5. No. of seats: 30 in each branch
6. Eligibility: A pass in SSLC or equivalent examination.

Application form and Prospectus can be had from the Co-ordinator, Centre for Printing Technology, University of Calicut on payment of Rs.100/- (Rs.50/- for SC / ST candidates) by chalan in favour of Finance Officer, University of Calicut and also can be downloaded from the Website link:

Those who are applying in the downloaded application form should submit the receipt of fee paid towards cost of application form. The filled up applications should be submitted to the Co-ordinator, Centre for Printing Technology, University of Calicut, Calicut University P.O., 673635 on or before 14-07-2012.

Other Conditions
1. Usual relaxations will be given to SC / ST / OEC / OBC candidates in all aspects.
2. A weightage of 5 marks will be given to those who have passed VHSC with Printing Technology as optional.
3. A weightage of 4 marks will be given to those who have passed Plus two or equivalent examination.
4. A weightage of 3 marks will be granted to those candidates having one year experience in Printing industry.
5. An amount of Rs.2,500/- is to be paid as refundable caution deposit which will be refunded to the students after completion of the course, after recovering loss if any incurred at the instance of the student.
