INSA-JSPS Joint Research Project Programme
Kochi, July 5, 2012: Applications are invited by Indian National Science Academy (INSA), New Delhi fromoutstanding scientists / researchers holding PhD degree and having regular positions in recognised S&T institutions / universities and actively engaged in research in frontline areas for deputation abroad during the Calendar year 2013 in all fields of Science including Engineering, Medicine & Agriculture for short term visits ( 2-4 weeks for senior scientists) and long term visits (3 months for junior / younger scientists) under the Scientific Bilateral Exchange Programme with overseas Academies / Organisations in Austria, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Iran, Kenya, Kyrghyz Republic, Mauritius, Morocco, Nepal, Philippines, Poland, Russia, Scotland, Slovak Republic, Republic of Slovenia, Sri Lanka and Turkey.
The applicant should be a scientist holding a regular position in a recognized S & T Institution / University and actively engaged in research work in frontline areas. He / She should not have been abroad during the last 3 years under any INSA Programme. The scientist should have been accepted to work in an Institute / Laboratory in the country to be visited and this should be supported by a letter of invitation from the host abroad. Those who wish to visit abroad for three months should submit a detailed programme of their collaborative research work to be conducted. All applications should be forwarded through proper channel by the employer / head of the Institute indicating their commitment on travel.
In addition, the Indian National Science Academy also invited Research Project Proposals from Indian Scientists formulated jointly with the Japanese scientists under INSA-JSPS collaborative Research Programme. The visits of Indian and Japanese scientists could be exchanged within this porgramme. Research proposals for the FY 2013-14 which may last for three years in all areas of Natural Sciences including Engineering, Medicine & Agricultural Sciences may be submitted to the Academy.
The applicant must be a researcher employed full-time at one the following research institutions. (1) Indian Universities or inter-university research institutes. (2) Indian national laboratories or other organizations actively engaged in research, including independent administrative institutions, public corporations, non-profit organizations, and autonomous research institutes
