MSc (Nursing) at CMC Ludhiana
Kochi, July 8, 2012: Applications have been invited for admission to the following courses for the degree of Master of Science in Nursing at the college of Nursing of the Christian Medical College Ludhiana for the year 2012-13
1. Mental Health (Psychiatric) Nursing
2. Medical Surgical Nursing
3. Community Health Nursing
4. Obstetric and Gynaecological Nursing
5. Child Health (Paediatric) Nursing
Requirements:
Age: No applicant older than 55 years (born before 31.12.1957) may apply for the MSc Nursing Programme.
Academic: In order to be eligible to apply for admission to the MSc Nursing course of this college, an applicant must have passed one of the following examinations obtaining at least 55% marks in the aggregate.
a) Post-Basic BSc Nursing examination of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot / Panjab University, Chandigarh.
OR
b) BSc Nursing examination of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot / Panjab University, Chandigarh.
OR
c) Any other BSc Nursing examination recognised by the Syndicate of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences as equivalent to (a) or (b) above. An applicant shall apply to the Registrar, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Kotkapura Road, Faridkot-151 203, Punjab for an eligibility certificate, if applicable.
d) Post Basic BSc (IGNOU) only from Centers recognized by the Indian Nursing Council
Registration:
Must be a Registered Nurse & Registered Midwife recognized by Nursing Council of India. Candidate who is not Registered Midwife must have short course certificate recognized by INC.
Experience:
Minimum one year work experience in Bed side Nursing / Public Health nursing / Teaching after declaration of Final result of BSc Nursing or prior to or after Post Basic BSc Nursing before 26.07.2012 (date of Counselling)
How to Apply
Prospectus and Application Form etc. for MSc Nursing programme for July 2012 may be obtained at the counter of the Accounts office of the C.M.C. Hospital on cash payment of Rs. 1100/- (Rupees One thousand One Hundred only) till 4th July 2012 and by post - (Speed post / Registered post) up to 30th June 2012 by sending crossed bank draft for Rs. 1200/- (Rupees Twelve Hundred only). Draft should be made payable to 'Christian Medical College Ludhiana Society' drawn on any scheduled bank, payable at Ludhiana. Money Order, Postal Order and Cheques are not acceptable.
Applicant should send the draft to the Registrar, Christian Medical College, Ludhiana-141 008, Punjab along with a covering letter stating the complete address of the applicant including pin code and mobile / phone number.

The form fee of Rs. 1100/- has to be added to the Application fee of Rs. 1500/- (total Rs. 2600) if downloaded form is being sent.
Last date for issuing prospectus and application forms at CMC office counter: 19-07-2012 Thursday
Last date of receipt of application along with enclosures in the Registrar’s Office is (Extended) 20th July 2012 by 5.00 pm.
Admission Written Test: 23-07-2012 Monday
