Kochi, July 9, 2012: The facility for Registration of options before the first allotment to Professional Degree Courses, Kerala coming under the purview of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations has been withdrawn by 3 pm today. Altogether 54,111 students have excercised options totalling a 24,16,700 options. This indicates that a minimum of 10,000 students didnot give options. Since the option registration process is over, no new student can give options to the existing colleges. Options in the Home Page of the candidate at 3 pm today will be processed for the first allotment which will be announced on 12th July.
The trial allotment preceding the first allotment was announced on 7th July, 2012, based on the options registered till 10 am on 6th July, 2012. The trial allotment is not a confirmed allotment. It is only to guide the students to finalize their options before the actual allotment. A candidate who had received a trial allotment need not get an allotment in the first round. The chances of a candidate depend on the options newly registered by candidates having ranks higher than that of the candidate.
Those getting an allotment based on the results to be announced on 12th July, 2012 will have to accept the allotment by remitting the fees/amount as applicable in one of the identified branches of State Bank of Travancore on 13th, 14th or 16th July, 2012. Those who fail to remit the fee within this time limit will lose the allotment as well as the claim to continue in the process. The amount/fee to be remitted in the bank by a candidate will be shown in the allotment memo that can be downloaded from the Home Page of the candidate.
Results of the allotment will be available at the sites, www.cee.kerala.gov.in and www.cee-kerala.org
