MTHM & MFES Courses at MKU, Madurai
Kochi, July 16, 2012: Applications have been invited by Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai for admission to the following courses of Academic Year 2012-13.
1. Master of Tourism and Hotel Management (MTHM)
2. Masters in Films and Electronic Media Studies (MFES)
Eligibility
A pass in Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) / Intermediate Examination or its Equivalent.
Age Limit
The upper age limit for admission will be 21 years as on 1st July 2012.
However,
i) a relaxation of 5 years is permitted for Physically Handicapped and
ii) a relaxation of 3 years is permitted for SC / ST / BC / MBC / DNC candidates and women candidates beyond 21 years for the admission.

Enclosures to be sent along with the filled-in application
The candidates have to submit xerox copies of the following certificates duly attested by a Gazetted Officer along with the application form.
i) SSLC, HSE mark statement
ii) Community Certificate obtained from Tahsildar / Deputy Tahsildar concerned. Otherwise it will not be taken into account.
iii) Income Certificate obtained 3 months prior to the date of advertisement (for SC / ST / Blind candidates only) from the competent issuing authority.
iv) Certificate of Physically Handicapped / Leprosy cured: Candidates who want them to be considered under the Physically Handicapped category should submit the certificate obtained from an authorized Medical Officer of the specialty concerned not below the rank of Civil Surgeon together with photograph showing the nature of handicap.
v) Military Certificate: Certificates to be produced
vi) Sports Certificate: Candidates who want them to be considered under the Sports category should produce the relevant certificate for having represented the State / Nation / athletics.
vii) Two self-addressed, stamped envelopes, each for Rs.10/- should be enclosed
viii) +2 marks statement (compulsory)
ix) Registration Fee remittance challan (University Copy) towards registration fee as prescribed by the University should be enclosed. SC / ST candidates are exempted from the payment of Registration Fee for only one course.
