MSc (Fashion & Textiles) at MG Uty
Kochi, July 5, 2012: Applications are invited by Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam for admission to MSc Textiles and Fashion programme for the academic year 2012-2013 to be conducted at Assumption College, Changanassery.
Eligibility
Candidates with a Degree in any Fashion or Textile related subject / a basic Degree in any subject having textiles or Fashion as a core course or open course / a basic Degree plus a Diploma in Fashion or Textile related topic recognized by the University are eligible for admission to the course. (Only female candidates need apply for the programme, since the course is offered in a women’s College).
Bonus marks for (i) for participation in NCC / NSS (ii) for Ex- Servicemen applicants and widows and children of Jawans / Ex-Servicemen will be given as per the existing rules of admission. Reservation for candidates with outstanding records in sports and games shall be allowed as per rules. 3%of the seats under Merit quota are reserved for physically challenged candidates.
How and When to apply:
Application forms can be downloaded from the website www.mgu.ac.in
Registration fee of Rs. 400/- (Rs.200/-for SC/ST candidates) shall be remitted at the cash counter of the University or at Friends Janasevanakendram or by way of MG University Chalan from State Bank of Travancore. Application fee can also be remitted by way of DD drawn in favour of the Finance officer, Mahatma Gandhi University payable at SBT, MG University Campus Branch (code No. 669).
Since the admission to the above course under merit and management categories is based on a common rank list prepared by the University, the candidates are required to submit applications in the office of the Assistant Registrar (Acad II), MG University, Priyadarsini Hills, Kottayam - 686560.
A self-addressed stamped envelope shall be enclosed along with the application.
The last date for receipt of filled in application is 10.08.2012.

2. Date of Entrance Test: 18.08.2012(11 am to 12 noon)
3. Date of publication of Rank List: 20.08.2012
4. Date of Counseling: 22.08.2012 onwards
5. Commencement of classes: 23.08.2012
