KEAM : Major changes in LR in 4th allotment

August 20, 2012: Significant changes are seen in the last rank positions in the Medical Stream after the 4th Phase allotment announced on 20th August, 2012, a day ahead of the announced date of 21st August, 2012. Accordingly, candidates with Rank up to 567 have got allotment under State Merit (SM) in Government Medical Colleges in the state. In the 3rd Allotment, the last SM allotment here had gone to Rank 490.

In the Government Controlled Medical Colleges, candidates with Rank up to 856 got allotment in SM for MBBS in the Government Quota. In the 3rd phase, the last rank in this category was, 694. In the Management seat at CMC, the last allotment went to Rank 2749. This drop is from 2710 in the third phase.

In the Private Self Financing Medical Colleges, the last rank under SM for the Government seats went to Rank 1876. In the third phase, it was, 1685. This was the first allotment after the admissions took place after the third allotment. Cancellations received up to 16th August 2012 were also considered in this round.

However, all these last ranks in SM for MBBS is still high compared to the last ranks of 2011 on closing of allotments. They were 605 (Government), 897 (Government Controlled) and 1924 (Private Self Financing) respectively. The fact that more allotments will be there in the Medical stream, gives some hope to medical aspirants in KEAM.

For BDS, candidates with Rank up to 1906, 2189 and 4206 respectively got allotment under State Merit in Government, Government Controlled and Private Dental Colleges, respectively in the fourth allotment. For the different courses, the last ranks under SM after the fourth allotment are as follows.

Government: AA (Agriculture): 4273; AF (Fisheries): 4686; AV (Veterinary): 3221; BA (Ayurveda): 3418 (Ayurveda Rank); BH (Homoeo): 5681; FR (Forestry): 4281; MD: 1906; MM: 567

Government Controlled: MD: 2189; MM: 856

Private Self Financing: BA: 6171; BS (Sidha): 6984; MD: 4206; MM: 1876
