PhD Admission at IIT Gandhinagar
Kochi, September 10, 2012: Applications have been invited by Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar, VGEC Campus, Chandkheda, Ahmedabad for admission to PhD programme in several disciplines in Engineering (Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Materials Science and Engineering), Sciences (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) and Humanities & Social Sciences (Cognitive Science, English, Philosophy, Psychology and Sociology).
Minimum Eligibility Criteria
At least 55% marks in MA / MSc / BTech / MTech or equivalent degree in appropriate branches. Above mentioned eligibility criteria is minimum and the disciplines may use higher cut off levels for short listing. Candidates belonging to SC / ST categories would be eligible for relaxations, as per norms, in the selection criteria.
Residential Requirement
PhD programme is fully residential. The regular candidates will have to stay on campus. For external candidate the minimum residential requirement is normally one year. For candidates under Faculty Development Program, currently 2 years of residency requirement after completion of 1 year of advanced admission is followed.
