Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program
Kochi, September 25, 2012: Applications have been invited from Indian secondary school teachers (6th to 12th grades) of English, Mathematics, or Science for the consideration of Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program of Year 2013-14.
The Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program will provide opportunities to up to eight Indian secondary school teachers (6th to 12th grades) of English, Mathematics, or Science to participate in direct exchange of positions with US teachers for the semester beginning August / September 2013, pending availability of funds. Indian teachers selected for this exchange will have the opportunity to work within a US school system and experience US society and culture. Similarly, US teachers will work in an Indian school and share their expertise. The exchange will benefit Indian and US teachers and their students, schools and communities.
Duration of the Grant:
One semester (August-December 2013 / January 2014)
Eligibility Requirements
In addition to the General Prerequisites, the applicant should:
1. Have a bachelor's degree in English, Mathematics, or Science subjects with a teacher training degree;
2. be a full time teacher (6th to 12th grades) with five or more years of experience in a recognized secondary school; and
3. must be eligible to obtain leave with pay during the period of exchange.
How to Apply:
Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program applicants are advised to request three referees, one of whom should be the immediate supervisor, to send in their recommendations directly to the Executive Director, USIEF, Fulbright House, 12 Hailey Road, New Delhi 110 001.

Applicants who wish to obtain the relevant application form through e-mail (as an attachment) may send a request to ip@usief.org.in, specifying the grant category in the subject line. Completed applications (including enclosures, if any) must be submitted through the appropriate administrative authority to the USIEF office within your region.
