October 13, 2012 : The Online AIMS Test for Management Admissions (ATMA) for admissions to the Post-graduate Programmes like PGDM, PGDBA, MBA, MCA, MCM, etc; offered by various Institutes / Universities will be conducted by ‘The Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS)’ (101, Rekha Deluxe Enclave Sangeetha Nagar, Punjagutta, Hyderabad 500082) from 2p.m to 5 p.m on 9th December, 2012 (Sunday) at about 30 cities (Centres) across the country. Registration for the Test has commenced and will close on 5thDecember, 2012. The last date for receipt of the Reprint of filled in application form at ATMA office is 5thDecember, 2012. Results will be declared on 20thDecember, 2012.
ATMA is a computer based Test and will be administered at the computer labs of colleges. The exact address of the Test Venue will be given in the Admit Card. Candidates have to report to the Test Venue not later than half-an-hour before commencement of the Test. Candidate should take the assigned seat in the Test lab. Change of seat is not permitted without the explicit permission of the Test Supervisor.Candidates should read the instructions carefully before attempting the test.
The test will have 180 questions from Analytical Reasoning Skills, Verbal Skills and Quantitative Skills. Each topic will have two sections with a total of 6 sections with 30 questionsin each section. The time allotted to each section is 30 minutes.The total time allotted for the test is 180 minutes.
Each multiple- choice question will be followed by four answers numbered 1,2,3 and 4 from which, the candidate will have to choose the correct or best answer and then click on the right answer. The questions will be numbered serially from 1 to 180. Candidate may start answering from the first question of each section and proceed sequentially. Clear familiarity with the directions and questions is necessary. There will be only one minute, on an average, for each question. Candidate will be redirected to next question automatically after attempting a question. To skip a question and move on to next question, the candidate will have to click the 'Next' button. An answer may be revised by selecting the question number from the list. To close the test at any point of time, candidate should click the 'End Test' button. For any reason, if test gets disrupted, candidate may restart the test by logging in again. In such a case, the candidate will not be able to change the answers attempted in the previous session for security reasons. However, candidate will be allowed full three hours without counting any time lost in any interruption.
For each correct answer 1 mark will be given and for each incorrect answer 0.25 mark deducted from the score. A candidate is not expected to answer all questions within the specified time frame. They may proceed through the Test at an even pace, skipping the more difficult questions, wherever necessary and return to the unanswered questions later.
Candidates must follow the instructions of the Test Supervisors in the Test lab. Violation of the instructions or any unethical practices will disqualify the candidate. The decision of the Supervisor in this regard will be final. Books, notepapers, calculators, slide-rules, mobile phones and other electronic devices are not permissible.
Application can be downloadfrom www.atmaaims.com. Application can also be purchased from a Distribution Centres named in the website www.atmaaims.com. Payment of Application fee can be made till 2 pm on 5thDecember, 2012.For making payment, candidate should visit www.atmaaims.comand click on the Payment Gateway for paying the Registration Fee of Rs.1050/- using Credit or Debit Card. The Payment Gateway charges are 0.75% on Debit Card and 2.4% on Credit Card on Rs.1050/-.

The candidate should then send his/her full name, Correct email ID, Mobile no., Transaction number of the net banking/bank/payment gateway, along with the serial no., of the application if s/he has collected an application from any Distribution Centre, through an email to email@example.com.
The candidate will get a Personal Identification Number (PID) to his/her email ID from ATMA/AIMS Secretariat.Candidate must fill in the Registration Form available at www.atmaaims.comusing the Personal Identification Number (PID) received from the ATMA Secretariat and also the Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY) of the candidate.
The candidate should take two printouts of the filled-in application (Registration) form after completion of all the personal particulars. The Roll number that will appear on the completed application, should be used for the test purpose.
While filling in the Registration Form, one should select a maximum of three Participating Institutes from the list available at www.atmaaims.comand quote the code numbers given against each Institute. The candidates' scores will be reported to these three Institutes. Similarly option is available to the candidate to choose two test centres according to their choice, so that, in case the first centre is not available, the second centre gets included in the admit card.
Candidates have to down load their admit cards from the ATMA website www.atmaaims.com by entering the PID number and date of birth between 4thDecember, 2012 and 8thDecember, 2012. Those without the Admit Card or without photograph will not be allowed to appear for the test. Two latest passport size Photographs are to be affixed on the Admit Card (Candidate's copy and Test Centre copy).The lower part of admit card will be the ‘Identity Card for ATMA’. The candidate is required to obtain the Invigilator's signature on it, detach the lower part and retain the same for future use.
Change of test center is not allowed, except for valid reasons in exceptional cases where the request for change is made well in advance, at-least 10 days before the test, and subject to availability of seats and the approval of test administrator.
