Online Registration: Those desirous of participating in the allotment process have to register at the website initially. The registration of ‘New User’s is permitted up to 5 pm on 9th June 2013 only.

Online registration and choice filling can be done from place of convenience to the applicant, using internet. Applicant will be required to fill up some of the information that he/she have given in the application form, and submitted to NBE or AIIMS, New Delhi and also in the admit card of NEET-2013. Applicant should fill in the details on registration window of online allotment process, exactly with the same spelling, numbers etc as filled in the application form. During the process of online registration, applicant will have to generate his/her own password, which should be kept confidential till the end of the counseling process. However, applicant can change the password after creating it. In case the candidate forgets the password, the same can be retrieved by entering the information that he/she filled at the time of registration and by entering the security question & answer thereon, as given during New Candidate registration process. The above data submitted by candidate will be validated with the registered candidates’ database. If the above entries match, then the candidate would be permitted to enter new password to proceed further.

Registration is mandatory to take part in online allotment process. After online registration, the applicant will have to fill in choice of subjects and Institutions/colleges in order of preference. The list of participating Institutes is available at http://www.mcc.nic.in/mccreg/ParticipatingInstitutions.aspx and the tentative matrix is given at the link  http://www.mcc.nic.in/mccreg/SeatMatrix.aspx

A tentative list may be prepared first as per the preference of subjects and colleges, before attempting to fill choices on-line. There is no restriction on the number of choices of Institutions (Colleges) or subjects that can be given while filling form. One may give as many choices as needed, in the order of preference. Once choices are filled in, the candidate can modify, add or delete choices during the period up to the deadline for locking the choices. Pattern in previous year(s), can be seen at www.mcc.nic.in / www.mohfw.nic.in. This may give one, an idea about the seat one is likely to get at his/her rank. However, this is only indicative and there is no guarantee of that seat for the current year.

During the period for online registration, Mock Counseling will be conducted twice. Here, choices submitted by the candidates will be processed and indicative seat that is likely available at that point of time would be displayed. Indicative seat allotment is the seat available for allotment to candidate at the time of processing of data by computer from choices submitted by the particular candidate. The indicative seat is to facilitate candidates to change, add or delete choices. The indicative seat allotted shown on these dates does not guarantee that the same seat will be allotted finally during first round. However, this indication may help the candidate to rearrange the selection of choices in a more effective and efficient manner. Indicative allotment of seats will be announced in the website. The result will be made available on the next day. In case no indicative seat is shown allotted to a candidate, this indicates that none of the choices submitted by the candidate were available at that rank. Hence the applicant may modify the list of choices as per his/her rank.

Candidates will have to lock their choice between 10th and 11th June 2013. The facility will be closed at 5 pm on 11th June, 2013. If candidate does not lock the choices submitted by him/her, they will be automatically locked at 5 pm on 11th June, 2013. Candidates will have the facility to take a print of his/her choices after that. But the candidate will not be permitted to modify the choices.
