NEET 2013 : 366317 QUALIFY

May 05, 2013 : The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the results of the first National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test-UG, 2013 conducted at 1251 examination centres located in 85 cities all over India and abroad. Of the registered candidates, a total of 717127 candidates were eligible to appear in NEET-UG, 2013. Of this, 658040 candidates appeared in the test and 366317 candidates have qualified in the test.

In the Unreserved (UR) category, 157214 candidates have qualified securing score at the 50th percentile.  The minimum mark in this category is 98 and the maximum, 689.

In OBC category, 149078 candidates qualified, securing the 40th percentile mark. The mark range is 81 to 629. In SC category, the number qualified is 42234 having mark in the range 81 to 610. In ST category, 16518 qualified scoring marks in the range, 81 to 586. The results are available at www.cbseneet.nic.in , www.cbse.nic.in and www.cbseresults.nic.in  .

The result will show the marks obtained in each subject, percentile score, NEET All India Rank, Rank for All India Quota Seats, AFMC and State Quota seats. It will also show the category rank. The cut off score for qualifying in NEET-UG is also provided in the Result Sheet.

The Result has been declared on the basis of the qualifying criteria prescribed by the Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India. The qualified candidates have to further complete the formalities with the respective Counselling Authorities, such as, DGHS, Medical Education Directorates of States, AFMC, Institutions and Universities, etc. for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses.

The details and schedule of counselling would be available on the websites of MOHFW, Medical Education Directorates of States, AFMC, Institutions and Universities concerned. The counselling would be conducted by the respective Counselling Authorities through personal appearance/online counseling subject to rules and norms for admission in Medical Colleges/Dental Colleges under their jurisdiction. Candidates should keep in touch with the respective Counselling Authorities and Institutions concerned for further details.

In respect of Kerala, a total of 66820 candidates had registered for the examination. Of this, 61042 appeared for the examination and 46049 qualified. The number qualified among Others, OBC, SC and ST are 17111, 26325, 2342 and 208 respectively. In PH Others, 17 have qualified. In PH OBC there are 44 qualified candidates. The numbers qualified under PH SC is 2. No candidate has qualified under PH ST.
